These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the GroFunds app and related services (the “Service”), operated by Nirman Technologies Inc. (“GroFunds”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using GroFunds, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm you can form a binding contract and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
GroFunds is not a financial advisor
GroFunds is a personal finance tool that helps you record and understand your money. It is not a financial advisor, accountant, broker, or tax professional. The insights, forecasts, risk scores, budgets, and recommendations the Service provides are informational only and are based on the data you enter. They are not professional financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
You are responsible for your own financial decisions. Always consider your full circumstances and consult a qualified professional before making important decisions. GroFunds does not guarantee any financial outcome.
Your account
- You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- If you invite others to a shared workspace, you’re responsible for who you give access to. Members of a workspace can see its financial data.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate others’ rights.
- Attempt to access accounts or data that aren’t yours, or bypass security or access controls.
- Disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
- Upload malicious code or content that you don’t have the right to submit.
Subscriptions & billing
- GroFunds offers a free tier and a paid subscription, GroFunds Premium.
- Premium is offered as a monthly plan ($7.99/month) or an annual plan ($59.99/year), and may include a 30-day free trial. The pricing shown in the app at the time of purchase governs.
- Subscriptions are sold and billed through Play Store. Payment, renewals, refunds, and cancellations are handled by Play Store under its terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel anytime in your Play Store subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- If a free trial is offered and you don’t cancel before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription.
AI features
Some features use AI to read receipts, categorize transactions, and word insights. AI output can be imperfect. For example, a parsed amount or category may be wrong. You should review entries created by AI before relying on them. See the Privacy Policy for how AI processing handles your data.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, software, and brand (including the GroFunds name and logo), is owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited licence, which is neither exclusive nor transferable, to use the Service for your personal use. Your financial data remains yours.
Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see Data Deletion). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. disclaimers and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, free of errors, or that insights will be accurate or suitable for your purposes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GroFunds and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, data, or financial outcomes, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You agree that the courts located in Manitoba, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
